Hike Laguna Llaca
Llaca is a beautiful ravine located east of the city of Huaraz, in the heart of the majestic Cordillera Blanca. Nestled within this enchanting valley lies Llaca Lagoon, a serene and strategic spot that offers breathtaking views of iconic peaks such as Ocshapalca and Ranrapalca. The journey to this natural wonder is truly unforgettable: an immersion in pristine landscapes, surrounded by towering mountains, crystal-clear rivers, and the melodious song of birds.

Itinerario:
Itinerary: Huaraz – Llaca Ravine – Hike to Laguna Llaca – Return to Huaraz
- Distance from Huaraz: 25 km by vehicle / approx. 5 km hike
- Difficulty: Moderate
After hotel pickup, we head by private transport toward the Llaca Ravine, following the scenic route through the village of Marian. The drive takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes. From the entrance of the Llaca Valley, we begin our hike alongside the river that flows down from the lagoon of the same name.
The trail ascends gradually, offering ever more spectacular views as we progress. In approximately 2 to 3 hours, we reach Llaca Lagoon (4470 m), a stunning turquoise lake nestled at the foot of the towering peaks Ocshapalca (5888 m) and Ranrapalca (6162 m).
After enjoying some time to rest and capture unforgettable photographs, we return to the Llaca Refuge, where our vehicle awaits to take us back to Huaraz.

How many days do I need to aclimate in Huaraz before the hike?
It is very important to be well acclimatized to the altitude. We do recommend that you arrive to Huaraz at least 2 days before the hike starts to help you become acclimatized and avoid possible problems with altitude sickness while on the tour.
If you have already been in another area of Peru at high altitude before Huaraz, you can go to the tour the day after arriving in Huaraz
How to book the full day?
FIRST: To make a booking, please email us to check availability and receive customized booking form.
All clients will need to fill out a passenger details form. Please be ready with the following information (FROM EACH PARTICIPANT in your group). We need the following information:
- Personal information (Full name, exactly as on your passport):
- Gender and passport number
- Nationality and date of birth.
SECOND: We require a deposit of 50% per person. You can make your payment by VISA/Mastercard/Dinners or another cards (payment link) or Wester Union (request our data).
Important for group departures!
- If you book in advance we find the other participants for the date you choice. (Group Service considerate from 10 to 15 participants) We open a new group minimum base on 2.
- For booking validation you should deposit a 50% of total price, and rest 50% you pay when you arrive to Peru or Huaraz.
