We have mountain equipments for rent in Huaraz, everything necessary for tourists who travel light. We have sleeping bags, trekking poles, sleeping tents, kitchen tents, bathroom tents, chairs, tables, stoves, gas, extra mats and also technical mountaineering equipments.
Sleeping Bag
In the city of Huaraz there are sleeping bags of all kinds, shapes, sizes and materials but unfortunately the years of use, number of washes or even worse number of uses NOT washed have a lot of influence.
In the case of down sleeping bags, along with maintenance, this is a very important issue and in Huaraz this is not taken into account. To avoid this uncertainty, we only have sleeping bags with synthetic filling, as they do not lose quality over the years and many washes.
These sleeping bags normally go on donkeys, therefore weight is not a problem for the tourist. The number of washes (or not washed) is not an obvious marker at all (and this is a sensitive issue in Huaraz). Our sleeping bags are washed after each use. Our bags are filled with synthetic material (down loses quality too quickly when washed and is therefore not suitable for rental).
